This book is a pretty standard, but well-executed, military sci-fi/space opera novel, and it fits in well with the rest of the series. This entry focuses almost exclusively on space combat, and there are definitely enough lasers going pew-pew to delight everybody's inner child.

It's a fast and fun read, but it is also pure brain candy. With that said, it is sometimes nice to turn off the brain sometimes and just enjoy the spectacle.
