Fantastic writing, compounded with gruesome imagery at every turn. Silas’s special interest makes for some very poetic—and disgusting—metaphor. Braxton’s presents a compelling mystery, a terrifying villain, and an intricate, horrific, and mystifying take on the era.
Graphic: Medical trauma, Abandonment, Transphobia, Medical content, Misogyny, and Ableism
Moderate: Sexual assault and Violence
Minor: Pedophilia
