Connell by Samantha Whiskey

3.0

There was a lot of good going for this book. It deals with Connell, the perpetual joker of the Caroline Reapers, and Annabelle, the buttoned up friend of Echo. These two were complete opposites in so many ways.

I guess the problem I had was the miscommunication in this. Annabelle says she loves herself and thinks she's beautiful, but she actual doesn't, because she constantly thinks she isn't worthy of Connell's love, because she isn't his "typical" type. Not only that, there is a misunderstanding and she just cuts him off and doesn't allow him to explain. I know this is how the books gets the third act conflict, but I just hate it in such a big way.

These two, though complete opposites, has steamy chemistry, and were the perfect match for each other. I also really like how the author brings in the guys that are going to be the focus of the next few books, so we can get to know them too.
