An average book. I got what I expected, for the most part. The book is about navigating relationships and aimlessness and how everyone wants to keep some parts of them secret from others. Vivid descriptions of female lust, which is a plus for a young adult book. What disappointed me the most was the writing. I didn't find the main character interesting, mainly because she was so lukewarm (if that makes sense?). She gets a boyfriend without much difficulty, then loses said boyfriend without much difficulty, and also regains interest in making art when she doesn't have much else to do. There's not much inner conflict within her. She sulks a lot but rolls along with anything that comes up. It makes her somewhat boring.
