I picked up this series in Japan in order to improve my kanji reading (it has furigana, yay!) and I liked it more than I thought I would. It's refreshing to see a main guy like Kira, who feels deeply and isn't afraid to show his emotions. seriously, it adds a dimension of character to him that is severely lacking in the shoujo genre.
