What linking up with a creep does to ones life...

This is the first book I read in the Kenisha series (book 1 is Pushing Pause); I came across it and just started reading. I plan to go back to read this series from the beginning. It took me a chapter or two to get into this story because you are unmediated drawn smack, dab into a world of drama. Once I got the names and circumstances straight, I started to emphasize with the main character Kenisha and began to like her. An altercation with a creep forced her out of private school to a public school. It also caused Kenisha to have to live between DC and Virginia. Lil mama makes the best of her situation. However, that altercation snowballs into a bigger problem; not to mention the issues she faces with her family and her dream guy. This is a good story for young adults.
