this is a wonderful book with a beautiful theme and message. however, i think the writing was too flowery and complex and it made the reading drag a lot at some points. i do think the language helped it in some specific parts (there were portions that felt very fittingly poetic and it added a lot to the emotions this book brought me) but i don’t think it was necessary throughout the whole. i really enjoyed the characters and their dynamics but i was not a huge fan of the ending.
