Galatea is a short but very impactful story based on the myth of Pygmalion. This book shows the aftermath of this myth showing an artist falling in love with his work. Galatea is a strong character who loves her daughter and is being mistreated by her sculptor husband. Galatea is much better off as a human being in my opinion and by the end, I was happy to see her getting away from her husband and trying to see her daughter again. This story was very impactful despite its length and is going to stick with me for a long time.
Graphic: Domestic abuse, Misogyny, and Rape
