As someone who considers Emily Henry in my top five favorite authors, this wasn’t a letdown. It was definitely different but I felt like it showed some growth in her writing when it comes to the conflict, the stakes, etc. Usually I find her third act “break up” scenes a little too manufactured but this wasn’t. I do think this might be her most flawed MMC? Anyway, I loved it, as usual.
