I loved the way books connected people throughout the book. The way it emphasizes how book keep us company and going even when times get hard. Amy's letters being woven in throughout the book and describing the people in the town. How books bring people together and how it brought Sara in.
The way the town took in Sara and how Sara gave back with in books. Her categorization of books and how she insisted there was a book for everyone which is I believe in too. The one drawback was the small town conservative attitudes. While Amy calls it out in her letters once she is gone, it's hard to see how they are taken a back more often than not. There were very good themes in this book, but others made me wince that the answer was to not talk about it.
