New Spring recalls back to the days of old in The Wheel of Time, stylistically feeling much like an earlier book in the series as well as being set in the years proceeding The Eye of the World. While getting a view into Moiraine, Lan, and Suian's lives before the events of the main series was exciting, these characters felt more like the protagonists of the main series, filled with a certain naivety Jordan seems to enjoy writing. New Spring definitely paints a picture of its cast in their youth, not as they are seen in the early books of The Wheel of Time. While I got some answers, this story left me with more questions.
