The creativity that goes into these stories always leaves me feeling delighted that I've read them. Giant Days are my favorite pallette cleanser. Just reading about three college girls and their crazy daily antics, with their three distinctive yet synchronous personalities (I mean, they all feed off each other basically, influencing one another for better or worse) is just so much fun.

Esther trying to be an activist all for the heart of a boy that's a little too extreme for her, Daisy and her lady troubles (her girlfriend is insufferable...), Susan and her...questionable behaviors. I did like that we finally got to see more of Susan's family, even though I don't think I could last more than an hour in a household like that. And the MMORPG stuff was very amusing. Like I said, these get creative, and I love it.

And as always, I love Esther's wardrobe. It's a little hard to relate to her melodramatic ways, but I adore her. I love that she's an alt girl and just exists. She isn't fetishized, she isn't some token character, and she can be perfectly good friends with people who are clearly her opposites. She breaks the mold of what we traditionally see with alt characters, especially with her sense of humor and penchant for being...well...loud and dramatic. Her romanticism is on brand though.

Susan is the practical one, with a finer balance between her head and her heart. Or so we think. I love how nuanced she has become, the more we get to know her. Every new scenario with these girls shows new aspects of their character design that I hadn't always noticed before. Let's also take a moment to appreciate her sarcasm.

And Daisy. She's just...Daisy. And I adore her for it. A little bit aloof, not very good socially, with a heart full of so many emotions she doesn't know what to do with them half the time. She gets interesting when she gets cranky.

I will always love these stories. Onwards with the next!
