Lord of the Flies by William Golding

4.0

Gripping story and easy to see why it's a classic. I'm very glad I read Rutger Bregman's "Humankind: A Hopeful History" before I read this one, because it kept my eyes on the fact that this is just fiction, and that 'the real Lord of the Flies' - as Bregman calls it - actually went completely differently.
