i feel like each of these gets worse than the last, i shouldn’t be surprised but i am disappointed

this one is cinderella coded but i found sophie not nearly as pissed as she should be. it was giving blameless heroine who everyone hates for absolutely no reason forgives everyone even though they were all evil to her. Benedict was at least not a copy paste of the last two male leads but I did find him to be insufferable and not in a cute way. they barely even talk about his art!! and sophie should have had a lot more to say about the way servants are treated and class boundaries being nonsense. idk i know im asking too much of a romance novel but ugh
