Babel by R.F. Kuang
4.0
Took me more than one year to finish this book, and i still think it deserves the 4 stars.
The premise was good, the buildup was very coherent and interesting. It failed to reach the 5 stars because I feel that the middle of the book, although necessary to the world building and the relationship between our 4 main characters, could’ve been used in a more necessary and interesting way, like exploring their upbringing, or even other characters.
Still, the fact that I didn’t forget the plot during that +1year really shows how good the book is, and I won’t shut up about it any time soon.
Edit: 3 days later and I still haven’t recovered from that ending :>
