The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman

3.0

I enjoyed the pacing in this book. It felt a lot smoother than the first and things were happening.

It’s basically set in another world all over again with connections to the first so instead of just following through from the first book it did feel like a whole lot of world building all over again.

I didn’t like the religious commentary undertones that are seemingly throughout the story.

This one ends like a proper cliffhanger so I’m looking forward of the next to wrap this story up. I do hold the magical elements and fights I loved on the first book return.
