PORTRAIT OF A THIEF | Grace. D. Li
read if you like: books about art | books about the complexity of colonization | rich people behaving badly?
review: this is NOT A heist book even though I definitely was set up to believe that it is a heist book. It is an interesting reflection on the role of art, art museums, and colonization, but the book fell flat in the end. I was not sure who to root for and the author did not give you enough information to understand the stakes.
