Definitely not for the faint of heart (it’s me, I’m the faint of heart), but this book sucked me in immediately and didn’t let me go for a second. By the end the blood and guts definitely felt like a little too much, and I’m still not sure how to feel about the ending. I saw another review on this site that said the book was too preoccupied with tumblr-esque ideas on identity, and that’s definitely the case. It gets a little distracting at times. However, this is a book written about teenagers for teenagers, so I don’t think it’s necessarily a bad thing. Ultimately, a great read and I will be picking up White’s other books as soon as I recover from this one.
