This is exactly what I love about Alex North’s books. The twists are so satisfying because the clues were right there all along and so clear looking back. There were parts of the book I never saw coming but it all added up in the end.
The Shadows may not have scared me as much as The Whisper Man but it was still creepy in its own right. I also love how the two books are loosely connected. Very reminiscent of Tana French’s Dublin Murder Squad series.
