Book #3 on my short-to-long TBR clearance. 112 pages.

Sadly, not for me. The events whirl past so quickly. The light and quirky style wasn't very satisfying. No heft! Assuming the follow-up is just as short, this should have just been one book.
Hardly any real sense of place; talk about trees but they're barely named, very little appreciation for different types of plants and animals and weather, it's just cardboard set dressing. Perhaps for those who like to see a picture of the woods more than go spend time in them. I barely get a sense of forest for a story about a man who has lived in the same one for 400 years. A stray cat, scourge of native species, left to wander. Felling of an ancient oak. Such normal, human sentiments for a fay story. Left me feeling blasé. Probably won't read the second one.
