The Dancing Plague by Gareth Brookes
4.0
I loved the combination of the sepia-tone drawings to represent real life with colourful embroidery to represent mystical/supernatural occurrences, as well as the use of pyrography.
I’m not normally a reader of comic books, but I did take medieval studies at university, and I have a lifelong interest in fibre arts; this book combines those interests beautifully. The story itself was a bit above a 3 for me, but the artwork brought the overall rating up to a 4.
