Audiobook (included with audible membership): this book was fine. I enjoyed it, liked the characters and appreciated the world building. I did not, however, connect to the characters at all. The love story was dry, the reconnection with found family was dry. The whole book was dry dry dry. It had a ton of potential but just didn’t give. I’m going to quit with this series because each book is about a couple rather than being centred on the plot and since the romance was the weakest link… yeah.
Oh and the woman narrator made the main character sounds REALLY like petulant and immature in the way she spoke which I felt wasn’t true at all to how the character was written.
TLDR: it was fine
