Final Thoughts:

I totally loved this book. I think what made me read it a second time a week later, it that there’s a serious plot that has nothing to do with their relationship, but creates a heightened situation that is the spark to their powder keg. So many romance novels revolve around typically “feminine” situations. They have emotional stakes, not life stakes. This story is dramatic and has big world consequences. Fighting bad guys. Evil plots. Murder. They are both put to the test in their professional roles and it creates a strong mutual respect for the other. That opens the space for their romantic relationship to grow. It’s great to see a relationship develop from a place of professional competence. I think what made this books so exciting for me to re-read, was the time I ghot to spend in their brains., There’s a lot of dirty talk in the scenes between them, and a lot more happening between thair own ears. It made all the scenes around the sex so enjoyable.
