The Beast by J.R. Ward
4.0
After the last three books, this one was like "Chicken Soup for the BDB Fan's Soul". The beginning was slow, and despite being over 500 pages it felt like nothing dramatic happened until the last 75-100 pages. However, it was nice to read a slower paced installment, and I especially loved the tidbits of Mary and Rhage's past. There definitely was a refocus of the core brothers and less side-stories. That said, I am elated for the next installment and all the possibilities that were hinted. Most fans of the series will enjoy this one.
Life didn't have to be perfect...for true love to exist in it.
Time was way too finite: no matter how much of it you had with someone you loved, when the end came, it wasn't nearly enough.
