Set in Eastport, Maine. The Chocolate Moose is a bakery run by Ellie and her friend Jake (Jacobea) who previously had a shady past in money laundering. A new shop called Chocco’s has opened over the road from their bakery, run by a man called Brad Fairway - he has been spreading lies about The Chocolate Moose to try and steal their customers. So when Brand turns up dead and they stumble upon the body, Ellie is quickly under suspicion. Then a local artist who is known to have been involved with Fairway disappears. Can Ellie and Jake solve the mystery?

A quaint and cosy murder mystery set in a small town, this is part 6 of a book series, but works fine as a stand alone as they cover some of the backstory. It was an entertaining read, but nothing particularly blew me away.

The narrator was pretty good, they had a nice reading voice and were clear, some odd pronunciations though.
