Yeah, you'll probably want to read this in the privacy of your own home. Plenty of tears shed throughout this book. I really can't say enough about the sweet sweet Gareth. He'll make you all gah gah. His faults aren't even faults. He has a heart of gold, at least where his loved ones are concerned. We get to know him in Surrender (Harris Brothers Book 4, and Book 1 of this duet,) and we learn of his demons, but in this book we get an even better picture of him. We get to see how far he's willing to go for someone he loves. Sloan gets stronger and more confidant the longer she's with him. Gareth and Sloan have a lot of up and downs in their relationship in this book, but it's not your typical up and downs. It's not fighting or infidelity or betrayal (or any of the usual suspects) that causes it. Once they decide they want to give themselves the go ahead to take things to the next level, they don't back down, but things happen that threaten what they are trying to build. There are some surprising twists. A few moments you'll want to strangle a character or two. Lots of tears fell. Some good and some sad. The children in the book are adorable, and often steal the show. Of course there are plenty of drool worthy scenes when we get to see the guys interacting with the wee ones. Ladies, be warned! ;) We all love those single dad romances right, well, this has the same kick even if it isn't a single dad we are dealing with. There is plenty of humor to help break up all the more solemn moments. And of course the sex is just as hot. (Mature readers kind.) It is so well written. You really get to know the characters. While it alternates between POVs, it really is Gareth who shines. Trust me, he will be your new book boyfriend. This quote for instance... "And I’m not the kind of man who jumps out of airplanes for a rush. I’m the kind of man who stands on the ground, waiting to catch you.” See, swoony, am I right?

This is book 5 in the series, but book 2 in Gareth's story, and you will need to read Surrender before Dominate. This book begins right where Surrender ends. This is also the final book in the Harris Brothers series, and has a good, heart warming conclusion to it that includes everyone. So if you haven't read the previous books, you may want to so you can truly appreciate the finale.
