i think the magic system is brilliant, first off.
coming from the wheel of time, i thought i wasn’t ready to start a new series and learn new characters, and switched books a few chapters in. but i immediately found myself missing this book??? then when they started heist-like planning i really became invested and found it to be such an easy read, just did a great job of keeping me looking for more. i never really felt a lull in the story. will definitely be recommending this to others, and looking forward to continuing the series!
