Overall, a solid addition to the series.
I didn't enjoy Manon's story, came out of nowhere and wasn't very interesting, though I could tell it was a setup and i'll probably end up liking her later. I didn't mind the main characters splitting up, I thought Celaena and Chaol's stories were still really good and liked the new characters. It's definitely slower and I'd probably be least excited to re-read this one if I re-read the series.

**was it just me who thought sorscha was going to be Yrene at first? they have very similar descriptions and back stories lol
