This is like a light horror version of a Georgette Heyer book. Which is an excellent thing!
Arabella Trent, a debutante unexpectedly turned ghost, is found by Trevelyan Shield, Lord St. Ash , a Shade Hunter with the Phantasm Bureau. He should be sending Arabella into the Shadow Lands, but instead he tries to help her regain her body.
I found it a little frustrating to understand and I would have preferred a little more explanation of the “rules” of this world and how the Shadow Lands worked. I really liked the relationship between Trey and Arabella and I thought the time in the Shadow Lands was very well done. Overall, I really enjoyed this.
