Overall, I enjoyed it. It wasn’t super unique and I found a lot of similarities to other novels I’ve enjoyed, including: ACOTAR, Beauty and the Beast, Cruel Beauty by Rosalind Hodge, etc.

Wren’s character for me was so/so. She had some snappy comebacks and could hold her own, but the whole alcoholic thing fell flat for me.

The North Wind aka The Frost King aka Boreas, he was chill, if a little bit of an overkill at times.

Enjoyed the supporting cast, would have loved to know a little bit more about them. Except Elora, she was the worst.

Didn’t feel like the world building was overwhelming and was sprinkled throughout easing any confusion. Spice was spicy, but easy to skip.

Also, the epilogue was BY FAR my favorite part of the book.

Would recommend for fans of:
- enemies to lovers
- forced marriage
- ACOTAR
- Beauty and the Beast retelling
- Hades and Persephone
- some witty banter
