Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling

4.0

I’ve never read the Harry Potter books as a child. I started reading the series when I was 22, and I never managed to get past the third book. So I decided to try again. The book starts rather slow and there is a lot of buildup going on. I had a hard time switching from the Muggle world to the wizard universe. The last few chapters, however, were exciting. It was not very ‘magical’ to me, but I enjoyed the story after all.

Tip: read and listen to the audiobook at the same time. It makes the story a bit more alive.
