It takes a very talented writer to take a subject I’ve never been interested in before and make the book a page turner. I felt that TJR used tennis and Carrie being in her comeback era as a great vessel to discuss the pressure and expectations society puts on women. Society acts as though women are worthless once they hit 30 and it was a great way to push back on that narrative. Carrie was somehow infuriatingly lovable no matter how mean she was. Thoroughly enjoyed this book
