Tying the Knot by Susan May Warren

3.0

I kind of wish there was a three and a half star option because that's what I'd give this book. There was a good premise to the story, but I ended up not liking it as well as the first Deep Haven book. I felt like the middle could have been shortened a lot because it kept repeating the turmoil of the main character, Anne, over and over and over. The fact that she was having inner angst could have been described in a much shorter way - I definitely got it without all of the crying episodes. It seemed like Anne pitched a crying fit every other chapter. For a man who seemed so tough, Noah (the hero) was immediately besotted with Anne. He even seemed to enjoy her emotional fits of extreme happiness and extreme anger. It just felt strange because in my opinion, if a woman does nothing but cry and throw fits, the man will decide to stop pursuing her and run for the hills... but that could just be me. Overall, the book was a fun, light read, but I could have done without all the crazy drama in the middle and skipped right to the interesting part at the end.
