This is a great book the story of deep time takes you to meet a whole new civilization while maintaining the high quality sci-fi you can expect from Ian Douglas.
The story of who these "others" are that the sha-dar are afraid of does not come to an end but you learn a little more about them. This is quite an exciting book.
One issue I have is the prologue does not really link with the rest of the book.
