Richer Than Sin by Meghan March

4.0

It feels weird writing a review for a story that I felt like I was just getting into...although I will say I do want to now read Guilty As Sin.

This is the story of Lincoln Riscoff and Whitney Gable. Think Romeo and Juliet except they don't die in the end. No this is the story about 2 people who have a chance meeting and a wild night of sex only to find out that they are from two families that hate each other.

The story in itself is good and I like the fact, the the richer than sin, Riscoff is fully pursuing Gable. More importantly, I love how the author keeps hinting at the fact that Riscoff doesn't understand the trouble he is putting both Gable and her family in because he has never heard no I mean crap that whole town belongs to the Riscoffs. I like that Whitney tries to be true to herself but is also deeply invested in her family and her family name. The push and pull between the two characters are the best! However, the grandfather Riscoff is my favorite character and I wish I had more interaction with him.

I wish the flashbacks were a little less split across this book. Sometimes I needed to remind myself if I was in current or past. Also, I wish I knew more about Whitney as her story is very interesting considering what he find out (confirm) about her near the end of the story.

All in all I would give it a 3.5 stars for now until I read the next book in the series then I am willing to re-evaluate.
