A Circle of Quiet by Madeleine L'Engle

5.0

This was l o v e l y. I've loved L'Engle's writing for years--ever since, of course, a Wrinkle in Time and the books that followed--but until Jenny nudged this one towards me, I'd completely missed her memoirs. There are many things here that I related to (personally, spiritually, occasionally existentially), but ultimately this showed me the heart of a storyteller whose stories I love and respect, and that is a unique and powerful thing.
