Hope Miller has no idea who she really is. Lyndsay finds her in the pouring rain one evening after a car crash involving a stolen vehicle. It's 15 years later and Hope still has no memory of who she once was and why she was there. She moves away from the town that she was found in, only to disappear shortly after. Lyndsay is sure something terrible has happened to her. I mean, people don't just disappear... right?

What I loved:
- Gripping from the start
- Held my attention the entire time
- Great writing
What I didn't love:
- Synopsis felt a little misleading
- Unoriginal

I thought this book was going a certain direction based on the synopsis but it took a turn I wasn't expecting, which was good, but I was actually hoping for the original story I was sold on... LOL. Sorry, can't say more without giving away spoilers! Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed this book a lot more than I thought I would for someone who doesn't love police procedural novels, but this one was pretty light in that aspect and provided just enough of it IMO.

If you know me, you know that I love a great twist! Did this one have one? Yes, but also no? I mean there was a little bit at the end that felt like it was meant to be a twist but there wasn't a WOW factor to it that wasn't already implied throughout the book.

Overall, I thought this was a really good novel based on the fact that it held my attention the entire time and kept me wondering where it was going. I loved the LGBTQ+ representation in the novel as well and thought it was a really quick read. Bumped my stars down based on it not being very original and the fact that it didn't seem very memorable to me either. I'd still highly recommend it for a quick whodunit novel!
