The Selection by Kiera Cass
5.0
Actual rating: 4.5 but it was closer to 5 than 4
What I loved: The heroine was not whiny but strong and wasn’t afraid to speak up for what she believed in. Also, loved that there wasn’t much of a love triangle. She was honest with the guys about her feelings. Adored Maxon. Loved the mystery behind “the rebels”.
What I didn’t love: We didn’t get to know many of the girls, especially the ones that kept staying. The villain was so predictable. We didn’t get to know much on his parents. The way the country was formed is strange.
Overall it was a great story that I finished in a few days. I’ve had this book in my “to read” for years now and so glad that it was finally on Kindle Unlimited. It almost felt like I was watching The Bachelor, which I love lol. It was no Hunger Games but it was entertaining.
