Amazing Evolution: The Journey of Life by Anna Claybourne

5.0

Engaging ~ Well-written ~ Engrossing

tl;dr: Our ancestors weren't just a bunch of goons or apes.

This extremely well-done book makes many of the concepts of evolutionary biology understandable. I loved the progression from big concepts of evolution to more practical aspects (like homologous structures). The book doesn't shy away from controversies, like evolution, and offers more than the most simple definitions (like adding Wallace to the discussion of Darwin).

I really liked this book and hope its used in schools and libraries.

Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
