Well this was another book by John Marrs I have really enjoyed! I was very interested in the passengers and learning about their backstory which was vital in this book because a part of the story was having the public choose who survives but based off little given information. We learn that as a society we can be very biased even when we don’t have much to go on and this book highlighted that with each passenger. There is also conversation around AI and how much it has been integrated into our lives and we rely so much on it without even realizing we do so. We got many twists throughout the story but I think a few reveals at the end seemed to be a bit over the top or more so unbelievable? It felt like the next twist was trying to out do the previous one and they were becoming convoluted and unfortunately towards the end it did start to lose me. I listened to this on audio which I would highly recommend because of the full cast and how the bits of mixed media at the beginning of some chapters was incorporated into the story. Overall I did enjoy this one and I’m ready to pick up my next book by this author.
