I really don’t consider myself a fast reader… but when a book grabs me I can only think of finishing it. So I did in record time. I think some books are just meant to find you at certain times and I’m grateful it did.
I had no idea what to expect because I'm aware of the author's other works and this feels like a departure from that. The writing reminded me a lot of audrey niffenegger, sally rooney, but even more accessible I think.
Genuinely one of the more thoughtful, romantic books I've ever read. Without a doubt my favorite of 2022. It's cerebral and if you struggle with any mental health issues I hope it (like it did for me) makes you feel a little less alone.
