This is a biography I’ve wanted to read since the BBC3 mini series in 2005.
Although a lot of the mini series seems to be fiction, the real book isn’t at all boring without the added bits and bobs.
A really interesting look at actual people in that specific time period. I was disappointed that there wasn’t much of Henriette in this edition and the part about the execution is absent but this biography is great for people who don’t usually read biographies (me) and has made me keen to read more
