Confessions by Kanae Minato

dark medium-paced
  • Loveable characters? No

4.5

I really like the way Minato sets up her novels. This felt pretty similar to Penance in that aspect, but she’s so good at developing these characters that you hate but you can also sympathize with (at least at times). To me, this book is really looking at what vengeance really is. There’s obviously a lot more going on than just that, though, lots of psychological stuff. Minato’s books (at least the 2 I’ve read thus far) just show how expertly she can weave together all these narratives. Also the narrators for this audiobook I thought did a great job.
