Livewired: The Inside Story of the Ever-Changing Brain by David Eagleman

4.0

I listened to this as an audiobook for a book club - I really liked it! Eagleman’s thesis statement is that the brain is “livewired” (duh) - constantly changing to adapt to its inputs, from sensory to environmental, similar to a “plug and play” computer. He discussed some really interesting case studies to prove these hypotheses.

Sadly, due to his discussion on age-related brain plasticity, I have now decided that it is useless to learn a new language.
