Oh, man. I am so disappointed by this. I thought I would really like this book, and I've been waiting to read it since it came out, and had seen so many other people say they loved this. But the writing style was just not for me.
The humour didn't really work for me. There was one big Emotional Scene in each chapter, where D'Vaughn would usually end up crying, and it just got so tiring after a while - like every single chapter had a formula to it. Also a lot of bits that were done for banter reasons, that never really went anywhere. And of course the concept of the show was a bit hard to get fully invested into, because it just seemed so unrealistic as a concept.
I REALLY tried with this book. But then I got 70% through, and thought "maybe if I just skim-read this I can finish it today" and that's when I knew I shouldn't force myself to go any further.
