I am so glad @_hodpatchreads_ put Don’t Look For Me on my radar, because the hype is real. This is the best thriller I’ve read since When No One Is Watching. Molly Clarke is struggling and wonders if things might be better for her and for her family if she just leaves and starts over somewhere new. Then her car is found abandoned, and a note left at a hotel stating that’s what she’s done. But, did Molly really just do a “walk away?”

Once I really got into this one, I didn’t want to put it down. (Had to a few times because #MomLife 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I essentially finished this one in a day). It’s intense, almost from the beginning, and I really wanted to know where the story was going. I had theories throughout, and while I figured out some parts, there were still things that caught me by surprise!

What really makes this one though is the characters. We get multiple POVs, with Molly and her daughter Nic. We get to see how and why their family fell apart leading up to Molly’s disappearance. It was nice to have Nic’s POV to give us some perspective from her side, rather than simply having Molly’s interpretations.

If you’re a thriller fan, and this isn’t on your TBR yet, definitely add it. I’m looking forward to digging into Wendy Walker’s backlist.

CW: death of a child, violence, murder
