This book took on a massively painful story, one that will continue to haunt me. For this, I believe it was a very worthwhile read.
Unfortunately, I found Smita’s character and monologue in likeable and somewhat unrealistic although I cannot put my finger on why. Perhaps it was the commercial aspect of the book which didn’t quite fit in with the gravity of the tragic story for me.
