I enjoyed this one more than I had the first two. I think the story was easier to fall into. I enjoyed the romance more. It was less complicated.

But I didn’t love it. I felt like the plot was building and building and then suddenly there. Almost felt rushed toward the ending. Chanda was where I struggled. I wanted to like her but most of the time, I didn’t. And I struggled to keep up with her changing emotions and personalities. We’re introduced to her as being more dominant than Jose, so at first, I loved when these two met each other again. Jose tries to be that and she just knocks him down a few pegs. But then later, it’s like she loses all of this characterization.

It’s a good book. A bit confusing with the whole series plot. The cliffhanger of all cliffhanger endings.
