The Best of the Best Horror of the Year: 10 Years of Essential Short Horror Fiction by Ellen Datlow

4.0

I skipped around this anthology and didn't read every story--but the ones I did read were consistently strong. From the unsettling and the strange to the outright disturbing, this Best Of anthology collects some strong voices in contemporary horror, with a few of the stories really demonstrating the complexity and power of the genre to entertain and frighten while simultaneously succeeding at a deeper, complex level.
