“I believe in Bonnie and Clyde.”  —  "Choices made out of desperation are almost always bad choices."

Amy is a master storyteller and it’s been so fun rereading her books. Amy illustrates this beautifully layered story of two lost souls, prisoner to their own individual circumstances, caged in very different ways, yet brought together by what can only be described as fate… a moment between a past that isn't what they want & a future that they're trying to figure out. I adored the Bonnie & Clyde dynamic in this book! Our main characters were just as wild, crazy, thought provoking - and in some ways - as tragic as the real life Bonnie and Clyde. Having the real life historical facts woven into the fiction made for a fascinating story. It’s a complex story of love, adventure & self discovery. Woven through this story are dramatic parallels to the infamous doomed Depression-era outlaws, Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow. The story is further layered with metaphors of Finn's love of numbers & Bonnie's love of music. Amy Harmon's depth of knowledge of mathematics, of a historically infamous couple, of faith in a higher power, of the law, of the human condition are woven together so perfectly within these pages & it’s simply awe inspiring. I don’t want to say too much just do yourself a favor & read it!

“It’s not infinity after all. It’s not even two. It’s one, Bonnie Rae. Didn’t you tell me? You and me? We’re two halves of a whole. We’re one,”
